چکیده

Objectives The objective of this study was to investigate the association between p53 expression and microbial acetaldehyde production in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Study Design Oral mucosal biopsies from 22 OSCC 24 healthy controls (HCs) were collected. analyzed by immunohistochemistry. Microbial samples collected mucosa ethanol measured gas chromatography. Results majority all (77%) HC (67%) produced mutagenic levels (>100 µM). A significant positive correlation seen intermediate superficial layers epithelium infiltrative zone (P = .0005 P .0004, respectively) layer appearing next tumor .0391). There no samples. Conclusions Our results show an immunostaining

Expression Of P53 And Ki67 Proteins In Renal Cell Carcinoma And Its Relationship With Nuclear Grade

Background and Objective: Evaluation of tumor proliferative activity may provide a predicting parameter to estimate biologic aggression and a subsequent prognosis that has been evaluated in many malignancies. We have selected renal cell carcinoma (RCC) in this study. To determine tumor proliferative activity, KI67 antibody was applied and results were compared with apoptosis, applying P53 antib...

Prognostic value of p53 in renal cell carcinoma

Background and Objectives: RCC is one of the most common genitourinary cancers. Accurate prediction of prognosis would be valuable for adjuvant trial design, counseling and effectively scheduling follow up visits. P53 is a tumor suppressor gene that expresses a protein that involved in both cell-cycle ar...

Cyclin D1 Expression in Patients with Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Background & Objective: Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) is considered to be one of the most common cancers of the head and neck, accounting for roughly 90% of all malignant tumors of the larynx. To have a timely diagnosis for a better and practical therapy, molecular markers have to be investigated. The aim of this study was to determine the expression of Cyclin D1 (CD...

Comparison of Expression of p53 and bcl-2 Markers in Oral Lichen Planus and Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Background and Aim: It has been suggested that oral lichen planus (OLP) can be a potential premalignant lesion. Reports are also available on the role of bcl-2 and p53 proteins in malignant transformation of OLP into oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Due to controversies in these reports, the present study aimed to compare the expression of p53 and bcl-2 markers in OLP and OSCC. Materials a...
